Warming Station
January 21, 2026
From the Oktaha Area County Fire Department.
The Oktaha Area County Fire Department is opening its doors to the public in the event of a power outage this weekend. Blankets and cots are extremely limited, so you will need to provide your own blanket and pillows. You can bring air mattresses, however you will need to bring your own tool to air them up. They do not have the facilities for pets, however if you have a crate, then you can bring them and crate them. The animals will have to remain in the crate. No loose animals of any kind. Please contact Leroy Whittle @ 918-684-8566 if your power goes out from Friday to Monday. The station will only be open if the power goes out. Please stay home during this winter storm, plan ahead so you are not driving in this upcoming weather event.
From the Water Department-
Please make sure that you have all outside hydrants and faucest properly covered and hoses unhooked in the event of freezing temperatures.
You may also consider leaving your faucets dripping inside the home or residence, keep cabinet doors opened in order to possibly prevent freezing pipes.
